Barbara Watt Foundation & Easter Seals

In 2003, Barbara Watt established the Barbara Watt Foundation, a charitable organization for fund raising. The Foundation became a vehicle for our offices to be involved in various activities to raise donations for Easter Seals, The American Cancer Society, The American Red Cross and other deserving charities.

Sales Associates and business partners alike energetically participated in donating both time and money to our projects. One of our favorite projects was to have a house raffled and the money given to the Cape Coral Hospital for needed improvements. The 3 vacant lots were donated by Karen Watt and the house was donated by Newcom Real Properties and then moved to the property. With many hands and supplies, the house was spruced up and ready for its new owner. Then we sold 2700 raffle tickets. What a wonderful day when the winning ticket was drawn by the mayor of Cape Coral.

Another project that is near and dear to Barbara's heart is Camp Challenge. Camp Challenge is located outside of Lakeland FL. It's owned and operated by Easter Seals and is designed for children to have a summer camp experience. Barbara loves to spend as much time with the camp as her schedule allows. She has pledged $400,000 to renovating the kitchen and dining room. This project is completed.

The contributions of caring individuals and businesses enable CENTURY21 Sunbelt Realty to raise the bar each year, increasing the amount for funds raised. CENTURY21 Sunbelt Realty has been recognized by Century21 as one of the largest contributors to Easter Seals.
